Kim Kuenlen operates NorCal Aussie Rescue with the help of volunteers and foster homes.
She has made the dream come true and opened a Sanctuary for Australian Shepherds in Grass Valley , and needs your help! Read her message below about her vision for the sanctuary and help us get kennels built. This may be a long-term project, but it's a goal we believe we can reach together.
Kim's Dream Comes True
On October 24, 2006, Kim purchased a 6.5 acre property with a home in Grass Valley, CA. At times, there are up to 19 foster Aussies there, and kennels are really needed.
A Place for Aussies to Play
The Sanctuary is a safe place for our foster Aussies to play and relax while waiting for a family to adopt them. Additionally, it's a convenient and fun place for people to visit and spend time with our dogs as well as theirs!
Aussie Training
We offer Obedience and Agility classes and many volunteers have taken our rescue dogs through a 6 week course. Everyone had so much fun we're going to offer these classes all year long!
We offer activities that Aussies thrive on ~ An Aussie's mind is a terrible
thing to waste!
